Unsigned - pottery netsuke

A large pottery netsuke of a tiger on bamboo. The creature snarls fiercely as it rests against the curving bamboo section – perfectly illustrating the opposing qualities of power and pliancy that combine to create a greater strength. Pottery with a yellowish-brown glaze suggesting the colour of Seto ware.
