Daikoku, the God of Wealth, laughs with delight as he holds open his sack to watch a pair of rats scuttle in, the one bringing up the rear carrying a large biscuit-shaped prize in its mouth. The benign god’s robes are densely patterned with mon-like cartouches and a scrolling vine design.
