An elderly fisherman, his mouth gaping open in a toothless laugh, rests his hand on the head of a large octopus that clings tightly to his body, its beak-like siphon stretching upwards towards his face. The octopus appears almost amorous in its intentions. This suggestion is reinforced by the man having one foot rather coyly raised behind him while his efforts to disengage from the cephalopod’s embrace appear rather half-hearted. The visible eye of the octopus inlaid in dark horn.
