A lacquer kogo in the form of an armour box, the armour displayed seated on its box.
The lacquer craftsman has taken the opportunity to showcase his technical mastery. The armour box is in mokume, layers of silver, black and gold imitating wood grain. The woven kusazuri and sode are in red and gold hiramakie, the sleeves in black over a nashiji ground and the breastplate is decorated with a coiled dragon in gold and red takamakie. The helmet, menpo and tekko are in seidonuri, imitating bronze, with details in gold.

Interior: nashiji with kinji rims.
