A three-case inro of lobed form
18th century
A three-case inro of lobed form, one side decorated with a design of an inlaid metal tiger prowling on rocky terrain, an ancient plum tree behind him and bamboo sprouting to the left. To the other side a dragon weaves its scaly body through swirling clouds. Roiro ground with gold and polychrome hiramakie and takamakie, details in nashiji, kirikane and aogai. Interior nashiji. The external metal himotoshi creates a lobed effect and allow pleasing glimpses of the silk cord channels.
