An iron container, probably intended for tobacco. The lid is decorated with a repoussé design of fish on a bed of bamboo leaves. A fat distended fugu fish lies across a long thin kamasu (Japanese barracuda). The lid opens by compressing the sides of the container, in the manner of a snuff box.
